Texans Injury Report: Johnathan Joseph, Bradie James, Brooks Reed

The Houston Texans have ruled four starters out for Sunday’s contest against the Tennessee Titans, including linebackers Bradie James and Brooks Reed, cornerback Johnathan Joseph and offensive lineman Derek Newton.

While Joseph was out on Thanksgiving Day when the Texans took on the Detroit Lions, the other starters all sustained their injuries during that contest. James suffered a hamstring injury while Reed injured his groin. Newton sustained a knee injury against the Lions.

Beyond James, Reed, Joseph and Newtown, offensive lineman Antoine Caldwell (hamstring) is also out against Detroit. Defensive back Alan Ball, who helped fill in for the injured Joseph last week against the Lions, is listed as questionable due to a foot injury.

Houston included a whopping 19 players on their injury report this week, but most of them are listed as probable to play, including wide receivers Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter, running back Ben Tate, defensive end J.J. Watt and tight end Owen Daniels.
