The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without Antonio Brown in their matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Brown has been dealing with an ankle injury for the past two games, but he was able to return to practice this week. It seems that return to practice does not mean he's ready to play.
According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Brown will be out, and Plaxico Burress could get more playing time. The Steelers signed the veteran wide receiver this past week because of the injuries they've had to their wide receiving core. Brown's injury may give Burress a chance to show if he has anything left in the tank.
So far, Brown absence has not had much of an impact on the game. The Steelers are leading the struggling Browns at the time of this article despite being without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and numerous other players. Brown's injury is just another to add to the list of things this team must overcome if they want to make the playoffs.
Brown is in his third NFL season. The Steelers drafted him in the sixth round of the NFL draft, a long shot to be a starting wide receiver in the NFL. However, he beat the odds and was has been a starter much of this season. He didn't start in 2010 or 2011, but he got into games and performed well. Brown had over 1100 yards receiving last season and two touchdowns.
