The NFL handed the Baltimore Ravens a $20,000 fine for
failing to list safety Ed Reed on a previous injury report despite the veteran’s
torn labrum. In response, the Ravens added a whopping 15 players to their
injury report this week, says Curtis Crabtree of ProFootballTalk.com.

A week after the NFL fined the Baltimore Ravens $20,000 for failing to list safety Ed Reed’s torn labrum on their weekly injury reports, the Ravens went out of their way to make sure they complied with the league rules.
Crabtree notes that the 15 players on Baltimore’s current
injury report is more than double the size of any of their previous reports.
Defensive lineman Pernell McPhee (thigh) was the only Ravens’
player that was held out of practice Wednesday. Others, including wide receiver
Jacoby Jones (foot), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (shoulder) and corner back
Jimmy Smith (abdomen) were limited.
As the Ravens are preparing for this weekend’s matchup
against the Cleveland Browns, they would appear to have all of their bases
covered regarding injuries.
