Just a day after the National Football League handed down bans to Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner of the Seattle Seahawks for use
of performance-enhancing drugs, the league announced the four-game suspension
of New England Patriots defensive lineman Jermaine Cunningham for violating its
policy on performance-enhancing substances, reports Greg Rosenthal of NFL.com.

The NFL announced Monday that Patriots defensive end Jermaine Cunningham has been suspended four games for violating NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.
While Cunningham wasn’t a starter for the Patriots, he was
the team’s top backup to rookie Chandler Jones and was in the midst of a “strong
season,” according to Rosenthal.
A second-round pick out of Florida in 2010, Cunningham has
totaled 15 quarterback hurries, five hits on the QBs and three sacks so far
this season for New England.
