While the New York Giants were able to come up with a big
victory over the Green Bay Packers last night, they lost two players to
injuries during the game; running back Andre Brown and safety Kenny Phillips.
Brown’s injury was significant as he suffered a broken fibula late in the game,
reports Hank Gola of the New York Daily News.

The only negative part of the Giants’ big night was losing running back Andre Brown to a broken fibula in the fourth quarter.
Brown sustained the injury in the fourth quarter during his
longest gain of the night, a 16-yard run. While Brown isn’t the team’s starting
running back, he has been solid as a backup and did step up as an injury
replacement earlier this season.
The Giants confirmed that Brown will miss the rest of the season due to the injury, and Gola notes that it will open up an opportunity for rookie running back
David Wilson.
Phillips was able to start Sunday night after missing six
games due to a knee injury. Unfortunately, the return may be short-lived, as
Phillips suffered another knee injury late in the game. He exited in the fourth
quarter, and the Giants didn’t offer an update on his condition after the game.
Phillips wasn’t overly concerned, as he said he could have continued playing.
