Eagles Injury Report: Michael Vick Could Miss Remainder of Season

The Philadelphia Eagles season is over at this point, and it’s now being reported that so is the 2012-13 campaign of quarterback Michael Vick. Howard Eskin of FOX 29 TV reported that Vick’s concussion symptoms are “getting worse,” and they could sideline the veteran for the remainder of the season.

There was already question if Vick would regain his starting job even if he proved healthy enough to play this season. Given Vick’s early-season struggles, the fact that he is likely gone after this season and the presence of rookie Nick Foles, the Eagles may have kept the veteran on the sidelines regardless.

Now, given the worsening symptoms, it seems like the team has a case to stick with Foles in order to see what they have in preparation for 2013. Philadelphia can avoid paying Vick a majority of his remaining contract if they cut him prior to next season, meaning he will likely be looking for another job.
