Cook sustained the injury during the second quarter of last
night’s game and went into the locker room for X-rays. The Vikings have not announced
an expected timeline for Cook’s return. He had started seven games for
Minnesota this season and entered the game with 22 tackles and one sack.
In Cook’s absence, the Vikings are expected to turn to
rookie cornerback Josh Robinson and defensive back A.J. Jefferson. Starting
cornerback Antoine Winfield told reporters after the game that both players
need to “step up” following the loss of Cook.
"They need to step up now," cornerback Antoine Winfield said. "I don't know how long Chris will be out. Broken wrist, that's not good. But our motto is when somebody goes down, it's the next man up."
