It was a tough Tuesday for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Big money free agent signing Carl Nicks will miss the rest of the season with a left toe injury, according to Roy Cummings on The Tampa Tribune.
Nicks signed a five-year, $47.5 million contract in March after leaving Tampa's NFC South rival New Orleans. The loss is unfortunate for the 3-4 Buccaneers, who are still in the NFC Wild Card hunt.
Tampa Bay also revealed that tight end Danny Noble will join Nicks on season ending injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
