New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be without two of his top options against the Buffalo Bills, as wide receiver Julian
Edelman (hand) and tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) are listed as out. The line in front of Brady is also banged up,
as left guard Logan Mankins wasn’t able to make the trip to Buffalo.
Still, Brady will have one of his favorite targets to look
to as tight end Rob Gronkowski was able to make the trip and will suit up
against the Bills.
Edelman is still dealing with a hand injury that caused him
to miss the entire week of practice.
Hernandez sustained his ankle injury during the Patriots week 2 loss to
the Arizona Cardinals, and it’s not clear when he’ll be able to return to
action.
For this reason it would have been devastating if Gronkowski
was unable to go for the Pats. He
suffered a hip injury during practice Friday and New England had him listed as
questionable, but it appears the injury is not serious.
