Vikings Injury Report; Kevin Williams OUT, Sharrif Floyd IN

The Minnesota Vikings released their first injury report of the season and enter it with a lot of names on the list. They take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and will be missing a couple key players when they take the field.

Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson(illness), cornerback Chris Cook(groin), linebacker Larry Dean(shoulder), rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd(knee), DT Letroy Guion(finger), linebacker Erin Henderson(heel), offensive tackle Phil Loadholt(knee), rookie wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson(back), safety Mistral Raymond(shoulder), and S Harrison Smith(back) are listed as probable for the game.

Meanwhile, DT Christian Ballard (personal), FB Jerome Felton (suspension), OT DeMarcus Love (suspension), and DT Kevin Williams (knee) will all be out against the Lions. Williams was expected to be out for the game and obviously didn’t show enough in practice to be able to play this week. It will be interesting to see how Adrian Peterson fare’s without Felton who was his No. 1 blocker in 2012.

WR Greg Childs (knee) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List and will be able to return later this season. CB Bobby Felder (hamstring), guard Seth Olsen (head), and defensive end D'Aundre Reed (waived) were placed on injured reserve and will not see action this season.
