Giants injury report: David Diehl out, Hakeem Nicks probable

The 0-2 New York Giants will visit Charlotte to take on the 0-2 Carolina Panthers this Sunday. Both teams will be in desperation mode when they take the field as no team has started 0-3 and made the playoffs since last millennium. Let's find out who will be making the trip down south and who will be staying home in your Week 3 Giants injury report.

Offensive tackle David Diehl is still recovering from thumb surgery, and will not play Sunday. Adrien Robinson did not practice all week with a foot injury and will also miss Sunday's game. Robinson's absence leaves the Giants very thin at the tight end position. Cornerback Corey Webster (hip) did not participate in practice this week and the Giants have officially downgraded Webster to "out" for Sunday's matchup with the Panthers, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks dislocated his middle finger in Sunday's 41-23 loss to the Denver Broncos. Despite the injury, Nicks fully practiced on Wednesday and Thursday, but missed Friday's practice due to personal reasons. Nicks is listed as probable and is fully expected to play in what is a homecoming game for him. Nicks was born and raised in Charlotte.

Guard Brandon Mosley (back) and third-string quarterback Ryan Nassib (ankle) were both limited in practice this week, and are listed as probable for Sunday.
