Chiefs' Jeff Allen dealing with hamstring injury

Kansas City Chiefs offensive guard Jeff Allen hurt his hamstring in the win over the Eagles last week and it may be serious enough to keep him out of the game against the Giants this week.  Due to the injury and Allen being questionable for Sunday the Chiefs called up offensive guard Rishaw Johnson from the practice squad on the the 53 man roster.  The Chiefs are now carrying nine offensive lineman on their roster.
Johnson was an undrafted free agent last year and signed with the Seahawks.  He spent most of his time on their practice squad before being cut.  This could be a big blow to the Chiefs offense because the offensive line has struggled at times and they can't lose anymore starters due to injury.

If Allen is unable to go this Sunday look for Geoff Schwartz to step up in his place and start.  Schwartz is a veteran on this Kansas City offensive line and is very versatile.  He could play any position for this offensive line, although he prefers playing guard.  Schwartz has stepped in and played well when the Chiefs have needed him to.
