Raiders' Matt Flynn resting sore elbow

Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn will not play in their final preseason game.  Flynn has been dealing with elbow tendonitis.  Flynn struggled in the Raiders third preseason game, he threw three interceptions against the Bears.

Terrelle Pryor backed up Flynn in the Raiders last game and he seemed to give the team a boost.  Pryor was 7-9 and threw for one touchdown and he also rushed for one touchdown.  Pryor will start the Raiders final preseason game against the Seahawks.  Head coach Dennis Allen will have a very difficult decision to make if Pryor succeeds against a very good Seattle defense.

We could see history repeating itself with Flynn.  He was brought into Seattle last offseason to take their starting QB gig, but Russell Wilson impressed in training camp and won the job in the final preseason game.  The Raiders traded for Flynn this offseason to be their starting QB, but is now in stiff competition with Pryor.
