The Buccaneers’ shiny new toy may be on display this Saturday, but is it worth it? The Bucs made headlines this off season by acquiring all-pro cornerback Darrelle Revis from the New York Jets for a first and third-round picks. Many have questioned the Bucs trading for damaged goods and many are wondering why Tampa Bay would risk putting Revis out on his island in the final meaningless game of the summer.
Second-year coach Greg Schiano has not ruled Revis out from the preseason finale on Saturday. Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk also reports that G.M. Mark Dominik has stated that Revis will be ready for week one against the Jets. Dominik seems to not be very fond of Revis participating in a game that doesn't count and would rather have his prized possession healthy for week one.
We’ll find out more as the week progresses but one would assume that Revis will sit out on Saturday to rest his surgically repaired knee. It’s only fitting for Revis to make his return on September 8th at the Jets.

"I think it's just a matter of him getting his body into NFL shape," Dominik said. "He's in great shape, but 72-play shape? He's still working on that. That's more important than actually playing five or 10 snaps in a preseason game."
