Injuries plagued the Dallas Cowboys last season, and it looks like it could be more of the same for the team this year. They've already lost defensive end Tyrone Crawford for what's expected to be the entire season after his Achilles injury. They've since placed defensive tackle Jay Ratliff and starting offensive guard Mackenzy Bernadeau on the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list, according to David Helman of DallasCowboys.com.
Both Ratliff and Bernadeau suffered their injuries Saturday during conditioning tests. Both sustained hamstring injuries, a common occurrence early in camp. While each player can return to action once they complete their conditioning tests, it remains unclear how far away that might be, according to Helman.
Injuries aren't new for either player, as Ratliff missed 10 games last season. He was also limited by injuries during the team's offseason workouts. Bernadeau managed a full season in 2012, but he was held out of a majority of the team's OTAs and minicamps over the spring.
