Former New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow cleared waivers
yesterday, and he’s now officially a free agent. Tebow can sign with any team,
but as of yet no clubs have shown interest in the polarizing figure. While no
team has been directly linked to Tebow, Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com provides the
sensible candidates to potentially pursue the quarterback.

Since news of Tebow’s release was announced, several teams
have already come out and said they are not interested in the quarterback. This
list is growing and already includes the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers,
Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Considering the teams that remain, Rosenthal believes the
San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins,
Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders are “some of the sensible candidates”
to take a flier on Tebow.
At this point in the offseason, teams have had plenty of
time to address quarterback needs via free agency and the draft. Tebow doesn’t
want to rush into another situation that may not be a good fit, but he doesn’t
figure to have the luxury of being too picky.
