Yesterday it was reported that the Atlanta Falcons were discussing a contract with free agent defensive lineman Richard Seymour. It’s
since come out that while the Falcons have expressed interest in Seymour in the
past, there is “nothing serious” brewing between the two sides, according to
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
#Falcons have expressed interest in Richard Seymour in the past. That's the closest team to where he lives But there is nothing serious now

The Falcons are clearly going all-in for the next few
seasons, as they brought in veteran free agent Stephen Jackson and Osi
Umenyiora to pair with Tony Gonzalez, who agreed to return for one more year.
Seymour could be another veteran addition, and he would
upgrade the Falcons’ front line. Still, he’s said to be seeking a significant contract,
considering what he’s been paid throughout his career. Atlanta doesn’t have
much in the way of cap space remaining, and it appears there could still be
negotiating that needs to be done if a deal is to eventually be reached.
