Three months removed from surgery on his left shoulder,
Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker has been cleared by doctors for all
non-hitting activities. Meanwhile, wide receiver Kenny Britt is impressing his
coaches and teammates with his conditioning and the overall state of his
surgically repaired knee.
Locker is healing and he told reporters – including Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean – that he hopes to get back to full-go soon so that he
can begin to make the Titans his team.
“I want it to be,” Locker said on Monday as players reported to Baptist Sports Park for the start of the team’s voluntary workouts. “But I don’t think it is something you ask for. It is something that you earn.”
Multiple shoulder dislocations caused Locker to miss five
games last season. He’s hoping the surgery corrected the issue, and that he can
now consider it to be a thing of the past.
Locker also was impressed by one of his primary targets, as he
told reporters that Britt has looked great during workouts.
“He came back and looked great during workouts,’’ quarterback Jake Locker said. “It sounds like he really got on his rehab and got his knee feeling a lot better and I’m really excited about how he came back.”
Britt underwent multiple knee injuries last offseason, and
you could tell things were never quite right. He admitted as much, but is
eyeing a big return to form in 2013.
