The Seattle Seahawks' have given safety Kam Chancellor a four year extension. 25-year-old Chancellor has averaged over 6 tackles per game since earning the starting job and being elected to the Pro Bowl in 2011. He was drafted in the 5th round in 2010; 133rd overall.
His agent RT @alvinkeels: Kam Chancellor will sign a 4 year extension with #Seahawks today...a deal that will extend thru 2017 #trueblessingChancellor's extension will set his current contract to be worth $29,323,000 over the next 5 years; $17,000,000 guaranteed. The Seahawks have a solid group of CBs on roster and I'm sure they are looking to establish an equal level of surety in their safeties. The organization obviously thinks very highly of Kam's ability to anchor the position, putting his pay close to that of top earning safeties such as Antoine Bethea, Tyvon Branch, and Roman Harper.
