After he was fired by the Dallas Cowboys, Rob Ryan (brother of Rex) stated that he would be unemployed for five minutes before he was snatched up by another NFL franchise. Admittedly, he had to wait a bit longer to gain employment, but then he did not have to wait long to lose that job.

"After extensive conversations regarding defensive philosophy, the Rams and Rob Ryan agreed he was not the right fit for the DC position," the team posted on its Twitter account.
The Rams seemed poised to add Ryan to an already strong defense that led the NFL with 52 sacks. Ryan's boisterous persona, however, can rub some the wrong way. He proclaimed that he'd be out of a job for "like five minutes" when the Dallas Cowboys fired him earlier this month.
"The Rams will continue the interview process with the club's other candidates for the defensive coordinator position," the team posted.
While this will undoubtedly raise eyebrows around the league, it can be construed as another episode of the combustible Ryan family not being able to co-operate with other methods.
However, what it does mean, that the opportunity of Rob to team up with his brother Rex in New York with the Jets is now back on the table.
