NFL Warns Players to Stay Away of M Nightclub During Pro Bowl

After the Washington Redskins saw one of their players, Trent Williams, attacked at a nightclub, the NFL has urged players to steer clear of the club.  Williams was attacked Friday morning in Honolulu, and police arrested one suspect.  The injuries were not severe, but they were enough for the NFL to suggest players stay away from the night club during the weekend of the Pro Bowl.

According to NFL.com, the stitches Williams received and the fact that he was attacked at all made it so that the league felt they needed to take action.  Granted their desire that players steer clear does not mean players will, at least teams and players know where the league stands.

Injuries are not part of the plan during Pro Bowl weekend.  That is part of what turns fans off.  They see the lack of competition caused by players trying to avoid injuries.  However, incidents like this prove that there will never be enough caution to ensure player safety at all times.  Of course, the NFL is concerned about players on the field for the most part.  Not players in a bar.
