After Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins, quarterback
Michael Vick was not the only playmaker on the Philadelphia Eagles roster
nursing a concussion. Running back LeSean McCoy is questionable for Monday
night’s contest against the Carolina Panthers after sustaining a concussion
last weekend, while wide receiver Jason Avant continues to be hampered by back
and hamstring injuries.

McCoy suffered his concussion late in the Eagles’ blowout
loss to the Redskins. Many questioned why the running back remained in the
game, but regardless of the reasoning he is now recovering from a head injury.
Coach Andy Reid said he doesn’t believe McCoy’s concussion is as bad as Vick’s,
who seems unlikely to return against the Panthers as he’s still been unable to
pass the NFL’s baseline test.
If Vick is unable to suit up, the Eagles would once again go
with rookie Nick Foles. Likewise, a rookie, running back Bryce Brown, would replace
McCoy if he missed Sunday’s matchup with Carolina.
