The Chicago Bears were hit hard by injuries yesterday. They had a total of six players injured. Among them was Lance Briggs who suffered an apparent ankle injury. The Bears' linebacker was among three other Chicago players to have suffered ankle injuries in the team's win over the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, the injury was confirmed when reporters saw Briggs leaving the locker room.
As the week progresses, the extent of Briggs' injury will be revealed. The boot is designed to protect the ankle from any further damage, so Briggs may still be able to practice this week. If he is unable to go on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, it will be the first game he's missed in two seasons.

Lance Briggs leaving the locker room with a boot on his right foot. #BearsBriggs has been a staple of the highly-praised Chicago defense. He is in his 10th season in the NFL, all with the Bears. Briggs has 43 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions this year. The 32-year old All-Pro has been as durable as they come. In his career, he has just three seasons in which he has played in less than 16 games, and he only has one season in which he has played in less than 15 games.
