Fantasy Football: Week 4 hot waiver moves

Let the bye weeks begin... Carolina and Green Bay are getting some early time off before a long 13 game streak to close out the year. Personally, I prefer a later bye. There are several fantasy weapons who won't be playing this week so do the right thing; put them on your bench. Here's a list of some top waiver adds going into week 4. Get your claims in.

Player Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6
Alex Smith QB KB 223 / 2 273 / 0 vs NYG at TEN vs OAK
Geno Smith QB NYJ 231 / 1 345 / 3 at TEN at ATL vs PIT
Bilal Powell RB NYJ 2 / 70 / 1 2 / 158 / 0 at TEN at ATL vs PIT
Jason Snelling RB ATL 4 / 60 / 1 4 / 111 / 1 vs NE vs NYJ vs TB
Pierre Thomas RB NO 4 / 48 / 0 6 / 67 / 0 vs MIA at CHI at NE
Denarius Moore WR OAK 0 / 0 / 0 6 / 124 / 1 vs WAS vs SD at KC
Marlon Brown WR BAL 4 / 45 / 1 2 / 6 / 0 at BUF at MIA vs GB
Ryan Broyles WR DET 0 / 0 / 0 3 / 34 / 0 vs CHI at GB at CLE
Jordan Cameron TE CLE 5 / 95 / 0 6 / 66 / 3 vs CIN vs BUF at GB
Caleb Sturgis K MIA 3 / 1 3 / 2 at NO vs BAL vs BUF
Indianapolis DEF null null at JAC vs SEA at SD
Kansas City DEF null null vs NYG at TEN vs OAK
KEY: (QB) Yards / Touchdowns... (WR/RB/TE) Receptions / Yards / Touchdowns... (K) Extra Points / Field Goals

The Jets are going to have an uphill battle if they want a chance to compete against the undefeated Patriots & Dolphins in the AFC East. Geno is going to have to air the ball out a lot to keep up with the competitive Titans and Falcons over the next two weeks. If you didn't draft a backup and are having to stick Newton or Rodgers on your bench this week, Geno might be a worth-while waiver grab.

Steven Jackson is likely out for 3 more games giving Jason Snelling the perfect opportunity to continue what he has been doing. Great waiver add going forward if you're struggling at the RB position.

The Lions have named WR Ryan Broyles the starting slot guy going forward. If he can stay healthy, he has big up-side in the fantasy football world.

In all reality, Cameron is already claimed, but if you're in a league that's lagging behind a bit, it's time to make a move on this guy. Norv Turner's carbon-copy of the 'Gates Playbook' is only going to send Jordan Cameron's stock soaring during the season.

  1. I like how the Cleveland TE is playing Cleveland next week.
