Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens told BlindsideFootball.com that it would be a no-brainer for him to accept a deal from the New England Patriots if they extended him one. While T.O. continues to campaign for a new gig, this is probably a moot point considering the Patriots reportedly have no interest in the veteran wide out.
Rumors connecting Owens to the Patriots started swirling when he was spotted working out with quarterback Tom Brady earlier this offseason. As Owns explained it, it was simply a case of the two players being on the same field at the same time, adding that there was nothing organized about the meeting.
It's since been reported that the Patriots have no interest in Owens. The veteran receiver also attempted to tie himself to the Chicago Bears -- via some vague connections -- but they also haven't expressed any interest in Owens.
Owens has been out of football for more than two full seasons, as he's since undergone surgery on a torn ACL and appeared in an indoor football league. He did get an invite from the Seattle Seahawks, but the team ultimately cut ties with the veteran prior to the start of the season.
