Green Bay Packers free agent Charles Woodson visited with
the Denver Broncos yesterday. While the veteran left the meeting without a
contract, the Broncos are viewed by many around the NFL as the favorite to sign
him, according to Mike Klis of The Denver Post.
Woodson spent yesterday with Broncos coaches, personnel and a few players. There isn’t a clear fit for Woodson on the roster, as Denver already has two starting safeties that the team thinks highly of. Still, Klis notes that prevailing thinking around the team is that Woodson would give the Broncos’ secondary a much-needed ball hawk.

Beyond the Broncos, the Oakland Raiders have expressed
interest in Woodson, and his former team has reportedly offered him a contract.
The Carolina Panthers are also said to be interested in signing the defensive
back.
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Woodson has totaled 55
interceptions and 17 sacks during his time in the NFL.
