It’s been a quiet offseason for Chicago Bears free agent
Brian Urlacher, who remains unsigned into OTAs. However, things could be
heating up, as Urlacher has been talking contract with the Denver Broncos and
Minnesota Vikings, according to Michael Sneed of The Chicago Sun-Times.

A source close to Urlacher told Sneed that the linebacker is
close to making a decision, adding that the former All-Pro is “leaning toward heading
to Minnesota.”
“It’s getting close to happening, but Brian is leaning toward heading to Minnesota and is talking a one to two year contract,” said a source close to Urlacher.
Since Sneed’s initial report was posted, the Broncos have
denied interest in Urlacher, and they’ve said they haven’t made any contact
with the veteran.
Bronco sources say forget about report out of Chicago about interest in Urlacher. There isn't any. No interest. No contact. End of story.

This contradiction could cause general hesitation when it
comes to the rest of Sneed’s story, but Urlacher has been connected to the
Vikings throughout the offseason. It will be interesting to see what follows,
but Urlacher could be close to finding a new landing spot.
