Washington is now out of jail on $24,000 bond. The incident
that resulted in the arrest took place on Wednesday when Washington visited his
ex-girlfriend’s house to see their 5-month-old daughter. An altercation broke
out, and Washington allegedly grabbed his ex-girlfriend’s neck and choked her.
The fight continued into the parking lot, where the ex-girlfriend was pushed to
the ground. It’s since come out that this is when she broke her collarbone.
It’s understood that these aren’t the first altercations
between Washington and his ex-girlfriend, but this was the first one to be
reported to the police. The Cardinals have called the accusations “serious,”
but they are declining to comment further until “the facts are determined.”
